Abstract

This troubleshooting article helps resolve validation errors seen when creating Network Availability Monitors (NAM) using the UI on Managed installations.

Problem

While following the instructions for creating NAM monitors on Managed via the UI, one can encounter an error of this type:

Validation failed with the following errors: (step[0].constraint[0]) value: attribute is missing

Validation failed with the following errors: (step[0]) At least one request per step must be defined

In both cases, adhering closely to the guidelines is recommended, as the root cause is fields not being filled with correct data.

Solution

Validation failed with the following errors: (step[0].constraint[0]) value: attribute is missing

The culprit is incorrectly setting properties for SUCCESS_RATE_PERCENT, where, for example, in a singular property, the key is ">" and the value "80".

This constraint requires two properties, one with key "operator" and a chosen value e.g. ">", and the second one with key "value" and chosen value e.g. "80":

Validation failed with the following errors: (step[0]) At least one request per step must be defined

There must be at least one request-level configuration, even if this is empty. It must be added via the following button:
