# Does Agent need to be installed on Tomcat Front end host  in order to see UI traffic?

Does OneAgent need to be installed on Tomcat Front end host in order to see UI traffic?

Hi Michael,

If you are automatically injecting the JavaScript agent to your user’s browsers from a particular process then yes the agent needs to be installed on the host that process is running on. In most cases, I have seen the Automatic JavaScript injection being setup on the frontend process like a webserver. So in your case unless you are doing the Automatic JavaScript injection via another process on a different host, you will need to install the agent on the frontend host.
