# Move synthetic tests from one tenant/environment to other

Is it possible to move synthetic tests from one tenant/environment to other via API or something?

Hi Akshay!

You can use [Synthetic API](https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/extend-dynatrace/dynatrace-api/environment-api/synthetic/) to first [fetch the monitor definitions](https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/extend-dynatrace/dynatrace-api/environment-api/synthetic/synthetic-monitors/get-a-monitor/) on one environment in order to [create the same monitors](https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/extend-dynatrace/dynatrace-api/environment-api/synthetic/synthetic-monitors/post-a-monitor/) on the second environment.

Thats correct, we do the same thing from moving synthetics from one environment to the other without having to manually recreate it
