Southern Rock & Salsa. These are my two playlists for these genres: [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/dynatrace/original/3X/0/f/0fd6a33484e77a47fa3ecef2b88d28b1aeedbb58.jpeg "Flyin' High") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gerYOmXauOQ&list=PLEHfo6Y0xDMzNiNe5ZoPqrelTj5jZQgBf) [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/dynatrace/original/3X/5/e/5ec2f89a35867c4bec0ba0be7fc8639264c0706c.jpeg "La-33 - Bye Bye") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8T4FyNvfb0&list=PLEHfo6Y0xDMx-VpGo71nbCFx58-k71Q8h) I love riding along with the first playlist, and the second is ideal for dancing but also feeling happy. Both lists have great nostalgic hits, with Lynyrd Skynyrd & Ismael Rivera as the main references! ---

The summer nostalgy I get from music will be forever tied to the limited amount of CDs we had to load into an old radio that still works! xP There are plenty of songs that immediately bring me back to those lazy summer days, but if I had to pick 2: [Rock you like a Hurricane](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yP1tcy9a10) by Scorpions, from the World Wide Live album my father had. This album was launched in 1985, 11 years before I was even born 🤣 But I spent many many summer afternoons listening to it. [Dani California](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QMMDSO8904) from the legendary Stadium Arcadium album by Red Hot Chili Peppers, is also very summer nostalgic to me. Reminds me of the influence my brother had in my musical tastes. ---

There are many summer-themed songs in Japanese pop music, but here we have selected a traditional song that has been sung for many years. The title of the song is “Memories of Summer.” I learned this song in music class in elementary school, and I still remember it even after more than 50 years. Those are young guys, and the song is “just” 10 years old, but it makes me nostalgic about the summer of 2014: [H.E.A.T - Point of no Return](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3DA6PiUsWQ) Not specific for a particular time, yet very powerful song: [Coverdale/Page - Take Me for a Little While](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-ooOf_rih0) Wouldn’t be me without Iron Maiden on the list 🙂 Summer of 2010, the anticipation of the new album and my second concert: [Iron Maiden - El Dorado](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMlaFD3s-1s) Summer of 2022, the return of live music after two years of absence: [Iron Maiden - Stratego](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rvfDQKtxFM) Last, but not least, the ultimate nostalgia song: [Magnum - When We Were Younger](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFmHZG6bUkQ&t=365s) ---
