**Oau, you really turned me back in time!** 🙂
I actually remember two childhood favorites, both full of funny stories:

- **Max and Moritz** – there was even a movie about them. I was around 5–6 years old, often staying at my grandparents’ house with my cousin (who was three years older). We decided to _act like Max and Moritz_… Years later, my mom told me that when she saw the movie, she thought: _“Some children will probably try to imitate them — but which parents will be the unlucky ones?”_ Well, the answer turned out to be her and my aunt. 😅

- The second book I can’t recall the title of, only the story. It was about a child who was tired of always having to say polite words like _“Please! Thank you! Sorry!”_ “на всяка крачка” (in Bulgarian this literally means _“on every step”_, but really it means _“all the time, to everyone you meet”_). The child ran away from home, but after some adventures came back and realized that being polite is actually wonderful. As a little kid, I misunderstood it completely — I thought that to be a good girl I had to say all three words — _“Please, Thank you, Sorry”_ — **every single time my foot touched the ground** while walking! I tried it so seriously, but it was exhausting. Later, when I finally understood what the book really meant, it became one of my funniest childhood memories.

Two books came my mind.

First is a book for kids who start the elementary school. We were very poor this was my only one Christmas gift. I have never forget it.

The second book is the one I couldn’t put down until I finished it. It is about the Battle of Midway from the II. World War which was a great victory of U.S. Navy forces.

Ah, those good old times. 👵 I used to read a lot, and I miss it dearly. Books, poems, comics - I devoured them all.

I think of Astrid Lindgren and her incredible ability to sweep the reader away into a world of adventure, wild nature, and rebellious children — like _The Six Bullerby Children_, or my beloved _Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter._

![GosiaMurawska_0-1758695778643.png](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/dynatrace/original/2X/4/432d7115f70a79b2b5dde34f1854019d96cc11e5.png)

I also used to sneak books from my teenage older sister… and that’s how I discovered the Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher saga and Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. I devoured those too, even if, back then, I couldn’t catch all the jokes and nuances.

As a child, I read a lot, especially comic books! The first one I read was Lucky Luke, the lonesome cowboy.

![GerardJ_1-1759216047043.jpeg](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/dynatrace/original/2X/4/4b811e64d7051bd36ff235a62b9616774ab40b6e.jpeg)

and my first favourite book was Tom Sawyer, which I won in a chess tournament when I was six. I read that one over and over again.

And like [@Michal\_Gebacki](https://community.dynatrace.com/user/44566) , I was also a fan of the adventures of “Le petit Nicolas”.

Hello everyone.

The moments I remember most when I was younger were the Monica’s Gang comics. I don’t have a book I remember the name of, only the children’s Bible. But what I remember most is still Monica’s Gang. :joy:😊
