# update cluster

Good morning, I am currently in an infrastructure update process, I have a managed cluster, with three computers running on RHEL 8.9 and they want to update to RHEL 9.0, I understand that Red Hat has a utility that allows you to do the operating system update, but I don’t know if dynatrace continues to operate and even if it can work with nodes in different versions or what the best update path would be.

Please follow&nbsp;[Apply operating system patches to a node](https://docs.dynatrace.com/managed/shortlink/patch-node-operating-system)&nbsp;instructions to shutdown dynatrace before OS update on a node and be sure to upgrade OS node&nbsp; by node.

As&nbsp;[@Esam\_Eid](https://community.dynatrace.com/user/65475)&nbsp;wrote it’s working with no issue

How about if I want to update RHEL 8.4 into RHEL 8.8? Will it be the same instructions?
