# Where are the log files for Dynatrace ActiveGate?

Where are the log files for Dynatrace ActiveGate?

The log files for the Dynatrace Security Gateway are located in **/var/log/dynatrace/gateway/** for Linux and **%ProgramData%/dynatrace/gateway/log** for Windows. For the location of other Security Gateway files, see link below
