Leaking maintenance window

Hello,

Consider I want to place host A, it's services and processes into MW.

How should I do that with the filters?

So, that there is no noise around from any sub piece.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can create a auto tagging rule for host, and progagate it to processes and services in relation.

And create maintence window only filtering by that tag.

Thank you!!

Can you please help me with the entity selector to propagate host tag to its related entities.

Thank you

Munawar

Hi,

You can do it from UI without metric selector.  Just auto tagging create rule in host level, and you have a flag to propagate to processes. And you can do it from process level and propagate to host and services.

My recommendation it to build out these 3 level of tags. Host, Processes, Services. Then in each segment, whatever your conditions include, add in the toggle switch's down below to add in the host/processes/services related.

I recommend you use this for Host names, Host Groups etc... all of which can be designed for you to target all entities that contain the tag design be it Host name, Host group etc....

Hello,

Does it means three different tags?

Host Group/Hosts Level and relation toggle

Service - relation toggle

PG - relation toggle

Post that use all three in MW to avoid a miss? Please help to understand.

Thanks,

Munawar

Yes, that is how I break them out.
