Notifications when the process starts at a different time

Hi,

I have an interesting question for you. I need to trigger an alert when an application process is started at a different time interval than it is scheduled for?

For example, if we assume that application process A is running usually from 8-10pm and one time it starts at 6pm can an alert be generated about this?

Hi @radek_jasinski,

I think there is no straightforward way for this but you can try to test creating a metric event using PGI availability as a metric selector and threshold above 0% or by process count per process group and then you can create a maintenance window for this process to disable alerting during the time that it works and you can expand the maintenance window a little pit to avoid any false positive.

Best Regards,

Mohamed

Hi @Mohamed_Hamdy

This is exactly the workaround I'm using, but unfortunately it is not perfect and can report erroneously in the event of some slowdowns. Thank you for the hint though.

I will be setting up a product Idea in this topic - maybe it will get the right recognition and such functionality will be added to DT.
