I am upgrading our App Mon from 6.5 to 7.0. Our Dynatrace Server resides in AWS cloud, on c4.2xLarge instance type for Pre-production environment.
Our desired Dynatrace sizing is MEDIUM, which requires 8 physical CPUs. Our current AWS instance type has 8 vCPU, which Dynatrace sees as 4 physical CPU (per the Dynatrace Server Settings page, Sizing Tab). I am not able to select MEDIUM server sizing as it is grayed out, but we were using this instance for Dynatrace 6.5 and performance did not seem to be hindered. It seems the Sizing options have become more strict, and a SMALL instance will not meet our requirements.
Noting that vCPU does not necessarily equal a Physical CPU, can Dynatrace team either:
1) Advise a work-around so that we can select the MEDIUM sizing on our existing C4.2xLarge
2) Recommend the min AWS instance to meet the MEDIUM sizing requirement.
c4.2xLarge Spec and others can be seen here: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/
EDIT: added image 'sizing' below for clarity.
