I am analyzing some user actions that are very poor user experience .

Found in the timeline has a very long gray part, and because these gray parts lead to poor user experience .

But I do not know what these gray parts represent .

As shown below:

Who can tell me what these gray parts represent.

Hello Fu,

The timeline is representing the W3C timing. If you follow the below screenshot and there you will find that overall response time is 3479ms.

Out of 3479ms, server took 3104ms which is showing as gray bar on the timeline view and the remaining most time taken by the Document Request which is 232ms.

Just hove-rover mouse on your timeline or right click and see the details, also expand your Server and Network contribution to know the exact time contribution.

Regards,

Babar

Hi Babar:

Thank you for your reply.

At that time the Server contribution is 650ms, Network contribution is 243ms, but the response time is 33975ms

So, the gray part of my question should not be the server's use of time

Hello Fu,

Just right click on the same User Action PurePaths and select the details, then check the Latency and Perceived render time.
