A user has the role PowerUser in a profile. When trying to deploy a sensor, there is an error saying "Access Denied". AppMon 6.5.

Hi,

Go to the agent group config inside that system profile. On the agent group side-menu, go to the agent mapping section -> Advanced. Here there is the hot sensor placement config. Click on the Always On.

Hope this is what is missing to perform hot sensor placement!

Thanks but it did not solve it.

But, in any case, I have tried to deploy the sensors with an admin user and it gives the error JVMTI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_REDEFINITION_SCHEMA_CHANGED.

Any hint?

mmm...

Check the jvm here https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/DOCDT65/Hot+Sensor+Placement

Maybe is not supported...

If it is supported and you are on the latest update (6.5.38) considering opening a support case. It seems this is often resolved by updates so may not be able to get assistance on forums.

Look at the permissions allowed/denied for the power user role. It appears that is denied by default:
