We had just started monitoring a PROD environment. One of the web requests seemed to experience slowness.
I am seeing this lines:
processRequest(HttpContext) and so on.
each has 247ms Exec Total (ms).
The business owner wants to know what might have caused the slowness.
As for me, how can you translate what those 9 lines mean (multiple by 247ms = 2.2s)?

No, when you see multiple steps/nodes underneath like that it is a stack and means the ones underneath it are called by the ones above. The execution time is time in that method or any of the called ones. It looks like most of the time was in that last method RemoveItem(Object) hence why the callers have an execution time nearly identical to it. You wouldn't sum those up or anything.
Look at the elapsed time column in the PurePath tree to get a better idea of when things are occurring relative to the start of the transaction.
