As per the documentation found on the university site for the Dynatrace App mon Pro VILT, While it is not a critical requirement to have the associate VILT and cert completed it is strongly recommended.
The professional VILT assumes its students are at least App mon associate certified (or have taken the vilt associate course) and the course itself covers a lot of ground in terms of new curriculum during the course, and builds off what is covered in the associate vilt course. This could pose as a disadvantage to the student in this case if they have to catch up on topics previously covered in the past course. I personally wouldn't recommend pursuing the course until youve completed either the app mon associate cert or the associate vilt. Hope this helps. du-vilt-appmon-professional-blueprint.pdf
