AppMon Server localhost

Hello, I'm trying to connect to the AppMon server with localhost on port 2021 by default.

I get the following error
Can anyone help me, please?

Hello Giovanni,

Check the following things:


  • Change the localhost with the IP Address and try
  • If you are accessing from the remote client then make sure TCP Port # 2021 opened from your Dynatrace Client to Dynatrace Sever
  • Also restart the Frontend Server Service and try

Also check if listening port is available:


  1. Open a command prompt window (as Administrator) From "Start\Search box" Enter "cmd" then right-click on "cmd.exe" and select "Run as Administrator"
  2. Enter: netstat -abno. ...
  3. Find the Port that you are listening on under "Local Address"
  4. Look at the process name directly under that.

Hi Babar, Brilliant thank you so much . Front end server is connected at the moment so when I restart the client for some reason I am sure I will have this issue crop up, so will follow your steps through. I used netstat -a prior, but netstat -ab so much more helpful!
