Application Process Shut Down alert

Hi all,

we are receiving Application Process
Shut Down
alert on orderly restart of application process and also dynatrace agent restart. But how to differentiate whether it is because of agent restart or application restart.

It is creating confusion to client.

Please suggest

Best Regards,

Jaydatt

what technologies are we talking about? On JAVA and .NET I don't see how can this can happends. I mean on .NET is an application pool recicle arrives, you will get this alert, but in somehow the applications has been down, and on JAVA only a shudden stop of the application server can handle this.

I agree. There should be direct and clear alerts for :

1. Application or JVM shutdown

2. Agent Crash or Connection problem with Dynatrace Agent/Server/Collector.

Hi Guys,

I'm facing the same in my environment, with dotnet application. Did anyone find resolution for this? How can my agent understand whether agent is down, hung or idle state?

Hello Guys,

We are also facing the same issue that there is an incident "Application Process
Shut Down" for 10 seconds but there is no evidence on the process or system level on that time.

How to stop these false positive alerts?

Regards,

Babar

I am also facing the same issue and see no resolution yet from Dynatrace
