Appmon 6.5: BT Rename Button is missing, Unable to rename BTs?

Hello, I am not able to rename some BTs since the button is missing. I am logged in as admin.

Pl. help.

Hi Rajesh,

Likely it is that you have an incident defined on the BT, in which case this is by design but was changed in a fixpack

Hi Gary, Thanks for pointing out. From My experience with DT 6.5.7.xxxx, I have never had this restriction. I used to edit BT, irrespective whether there was incident or not.

So, does this also mean I need to delete incidents, in order to edit/rename the BTs?

Hi Rajesh, there was some change in fixpack https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/PROD/Dynatrace+AppMon+6.5.17+Release+Notes JLT-189127 but was for dashlet - my mistake!

You could test copy+paste the BT see if you can rename there without altering the incident. I tested in 7.0 and actually the incident + BT renaming is fine there but I did face this in an earlier build.

Are you able to apply a new fix pack? It will avoid making changes to the incident and you can rename your BT like expected

Hi @Gary S., Yes, I am able to rename the copy-patsed BT but that will cause my Old PWH data to be lost.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing when you select "Edit Business Transaction"?
