Autonomous Login for Web Dashboards

Can anyone help me with Autonomous logins for the web dashboards, I thought you just appended &username=dashboard&password=password at the end of the dashboard links for the authentication to occur. Has this been moved to a debug flag, we were able to use this method prior to updating to the latest version.

Thank you for raising this question as I too am working on this for my customer. I have to say that I'm not too thrilled about having a username and password in the URL as open text. I was told this morning by Dynatrace that a single sign on solution is being worked on. I don't know when this would be release though.

Yeah ideally we wouldn't have the password in plain text but our work around was creating a read only user to use for these dashboards.

Hey Kyle,

I also noticed a change in the format after the upgrade to 6.5. The new format that has worked for me is..

https:/<dt server host/ip>:9911/index.jsp?username=<username>&password=<password>#dashboard;db=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Regards,

Kodai

Wow I didn't even realize this was a thing! Thanks Kodai/Kyle. Will be great for a new plugin I'm working on

Hi Kyle,

it was not very readable in the doc, i've put the syntax in place so it is better readable: https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/DOCDT65/Share+Web+Dashboards
