Can UEM be used without Web Server agents? If so what data will be missing from the purepath?

Short answer, yes if your app runs Java. Make sure to enable the UEM sensor to active and start purepaths. The data that will be missing is the call from the web server as the entry point will most likely be the servlet.

Hi Kyle, We have observed that the UEM visits does not appear even when this sensor is active (which is active by default for JVM tier).

Main point is there is no option to start the purepath in the drop down list as in snapshot:

Also, we have observed that no visit appears even this sensor is active. We have crossed checked this for WAS and JBOSS.

Can you pl. suggest what is missing?

Best Regards,

Rajesh

Hello @Rajesh S.

Did you run a UEM Health Check before doing further investigation?

But with .NET it's not possible?

No, for .net it is not possible. UEM can in this case only be enabled through a web server.
