Is it possible to use same license on two different machines?
Previously, customer purchased license for Dynatrace set up (on windows) with 10 agents. We setup the Dynatrace server and and consumed 8 agents for monitoring different applications(6- java, 2- web) and left with two agents. Now monitoring is going on fine.
Now, customer is planning to set up new Dynatrace Server (Linux) to monitor 5 new applications (predominantly web applications). Customer tried to use the same license file (which was acquired previously as mention above). An error was thrown with message "The selected license can not be activated: License is locked to a different machine" while installing Dynatrace server file.
Customer is asking the below questions.
Please help us with suggestion.

--> No. Drop mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or raise support ticket with License Management.
Is there a way to use the same license on 2 different machines?
--> Yes. you can split the license file for this you need to contact to drop mail to email@example.com or raise support ticket with License
How can we use all unused agents from the old website into the new website ?
--> Drop mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Team will split license as per need & share different license file.
Dynatrace server for old website and Dynatrace server for the new website are installed on two different systems ( Linux and Windows ) would that be a problem for the license ? ( or should we request a totally different license?)
-->No. Single license file cant be use more than 1 DT server. As license are activated for individual server
