Clickable Links in Dashlet Description?

I'm putting together a dashboard for our network operations team, and I want to make it a little easier for them to use. I'm using multiple traffic-light graphs. One for each application. For each dashlet, under the title I'd like to put a link that they can click on to take them out to our CMDB web page. I tried putting in an "<a href="> link, but that didn't work. Is this possible? Screenshot below.

Also, is it possible to only have a traffic light visible if it is in a yellow or red state?

Last question, I've selected several dashboard links in the dashlet configuration. Is it possible to configure the dashlet to open a dashboard when you double-click on the traffic light?

Thanks

You have to put links in [] brackets - so [http://abc.com] - you can also do this [http://abc.com|alternative text] to get a different link text

Its not possible to open a different dashboard - love the idea and already proposed it to the team a while ago. The only thing that works in the moment are regular hyperlinks which also includes mailto:, e.g: [mailto:myemail@domain.com?subject=ask me about this|send me an email]

Thanks that is a BIG help! In the dashlet properties you can add dashboards in the "dashboard links" tab. Ideally I'd like to see a button there so you could mark one of your selected dashboards as "Default". Then when a user double-clicks on your dashlet graph that default dashboard would be opened.

I agree. that would be a huge improvement. I try to push this again with our team!

I've not tried it myself, but I'm thinking that perhaps you could put in a link to a REST call to open the dashboard you want? I understand this is not exactly the functionality you are looking for, but may be a possible work around.

awesome idea for a workaround 🙂 -> a link to local client rest interface -> http://localhost:8031/xxxx -> give it a try and let us know

Note that there is a feature "Dashboard links" in the Dashlet properties where you can define links to other Dashboards, they will then be available in the context-menu of the Dashlet and in Reports, however there is no way to show these in the description area of the Dashlet

I gave the wrong order in my example. The "alttext" has to be first, so,e.g: [My link text|http://mylink.com]

I deleted my reply which deleted Andi's reply too. But the solution is that the Alt text must be the first parameter.

eg. [Dynatrace | http://www.dynatrace.com]

Thank you. The alt text works great now. Does anyone have any tricks so that dashlets only apear when they are in a warning or severe state?

Any news here? Has the change been implemented to make links to other dashboard?
