Couldn't find all MetaClasses in classCache!

we were trying to do Hot Sensor Placement with one new class in a sensor.

This message appeared in agent log:

2018-11-02 10:56:16 UTC [c74fc8c8] info [native] Hot sensor placement request for 0 class(es) (0 KiB) took 0ms.
2018-11-02 10:56:16 UTC [c74fc8c8] info [native] redefineClasses took 0ms.
2018-11-02 10:56:16 UTC [c74fc8c8] info [native] 0 error(s) occurred, 0/0 class(es) redefined in 0 step(s).

Also in the collector log we found this:

2018-11-02 10:56:10 UTC WARNING [ClassCache] Couldn't find all MetaClasses in classCache!: 150
2018-11-02 10:56:10 UTC WARNING [LoadedClasses] Not all classes loaded from classCache, those classes will not be hot sensor placed!

Any idea what that means? Why those classes can't be placed in the sensor?

Hello @David V.

Relevant class not included?

  • Class might not have been loaded by the agent yet.
  • Wrong agent or class pattern specified? Search is performed on fully qualified class name!
  • Agent previously connected to a different collector? Collector part of collector group?

Therefore, check mark on the 'Integrate cached data from all collectors' and try again.

Have a look on the below link for more insight.

Hi @Babar Q.,

thank you for advice, but this is what we always follow and check.

We can find the class and exact method we want to instrument in the Class Browser. Even if we try to place the sensor, the agents don't show it in Deployed Sensors tab, we can't see it in Method dashlet.

We tried to restart the agent, restart the collector, switch to different collector and place the sensor after every single move, but it doesn't help.
