Hello,

I want to create a BT that will give me the count of particular method invoked.

For e.g.-BT should give me the total count of getConnection() method invoked.

Will it be possible? If yes please guide.

Hello Akshay,

Check the below post to create a BT to get the count of getConnection().

https://answers.dynatrace.com/questions/159963/dat...

Try to recreate the same.

Babar

Hi Babar,

I tried to create a BT using given link but the count seems be to not exact.

Like when I checked for "get connection sum" under transaction is 936 but after drilling down to purepath & searching for get connection method the count is 967 so the difference in count is 31.

Am I missing any more setting here or am I counting it wrong.

Adding screenshot for more details.

Hello Akshay,

Make sure that timeframe is same and secondly change the calculate aggregation from count to sum and verify again.

Babar

Hi Babar,

I have checked for particular time frame but still the count is showing some difference.

Is there anything more I have to check here?

Hello Akshay,

Did you also change the Calculate Results aggregation from count to sum?

Regards,

Babar

Yes it is in place. PFA screenshot. 2017-01-30-182448.jpg

Change the filter aggregation as Last and keep the sum for calculates results.

Yes...Changed but still same result.

FYI..Here I'm looking into the "Invocation WrapperDataSource.getConnection()_M [num] Sum" column. Adding screenshot for ref. 2017-01-30-184818.jpg

Hello Akshay,

Got confused 🙂

If your calculate result aggregation is sum and you are adding the column of your measurement to check the result.

Is it possible for you to add the sum column parallel to your column?

Babar

Damn...:) I was searching for word "get" & hence getting inappropriate results.

After searching for "getConnection" the result are pretty correct. Screenshot attached.
