Debugging and java agent conflicts

Hi all

In the actual Appmon documentation, there is a hint because of

debugging and java agent conflicts, see:

https://www.dynatrace.com/support/doc/appmon/installation/set-up-agents/java-agent-configuration/

Does anyone have more information about this?

When I have to debug a java application, I have to use

`-Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=10284,server=y,suspend=n`, right?

Regards

Matthias

Hello,

Yes, it's right without Dynatrace.

If you use Dynatrace in your JVM, you must use :

-agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=10284

I think because JDI of JPDA allow to write remote debugger applications so with this configuration, Dynatrace follow the sort of alteration.

Regards,

Mathieu

Hi Mathieu

Thank you for clarifying a bit.
