We use the host health measures from dynatrace agents in our custom charts and recently we found that some of the measures were not matching with the similar measures in other host monitoring tools like SCOM.
one example of discrepancy is the memory used in bytes for a 4 load balanced servers is showing different in DT but is same in SCOM, same with NW read/write.
Can we get more details on what is being measured in the app server by the agent to get the host health. Are these mapped to Perfmon counters?
Could someone help me with the above question,
We also are facing an issue by which we don't see host health data from agents in some UNIX servers. We know in Windows it is using perfmon, but how does the agent get the host health in UNIX.
Can you explain me some details about your Server configuration and your hosted application. What operating system is used. Are you using a Java Agent to monitor the system or are you using a standalone Host Agent to gather information about host health?
If you have any troubles with false alerts an host health monitoring feel free to create a support ticket.
