Dockerized Collector and Proxy Settings

torsten_gippert

Hello,
I am trying to run a dockerized collector. This collector should send its data via a proxy to the dynatrace server.
Are there any env variables like DT_COLLECTOR_PROXY_SERVER, DT_COLLECTOR_PROXY_USERNAME or DT_COLLECTOR_PROXY_PWD that I can pass when executing "docker run"

https://github.com/Dynatrace/Dynatrace-Docker/tree...

Thanx in advance
Torsten

Hi @Torsten G.! Although such env variables would indeed be helpful in your case, they are not currently offered. Let me comment on the email which you have sent to me today on this matter: you mention that you were referring to the following community documentation: https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/DOCDT63/Configure+Proxies. The scenario described therein on configuring the Collector's collector.conf.xml is unnecessarily complex and may be slightly misleading. Would you please give the succeeding article at https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/DOCDT63/Setting+up+a+%28Reverse-%29+Proxy+Environm... a try? The scenario mentioned therein is also more practical. If this doesn't help, please submit a support ticket and attach your collector.conf.xml file!

Curiously, has anyone implemented the required changes to the dockerized collector community project to enable HTTP tunneling? If so, would it be possible to share your approach?
