Hi,This is Ryotaro.

I read documentation of dynaTrace6.X, and it said, Multiple dynaTrace Server instances on one host is deprecated.

Our Customer using the environment which is multiple dynaTrace Server instances on one host

They have 2 DTservers: TEST and PROD in one machine. then, they will make new dynaTrace environment and they want to create the same environment as much as possible.

(For operation, they want to separate the production and test environments)

■Q.Why multiple dynaTrace Server instances on one host is deprecation?

Could you tell me, coz I have to explane for our customer.

Bestregards

Hi Ryotaro,

I have used the "portoffset" property to do this for a customer migrating from 5.5 to 6.3 on a Windows server. So, it may be deprecated, but it can be done on at least some versions. I think the documentation on whether it is deprecated or not is a bit confusing. You may want to check in with support on that.

To do this on windows with an offset of 100:

- Open regedit.exe.

- Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\dynaTrace
Server 6.3.

- In key "ImagePath" add "-portoffset 100".

To do it on Linux, just add the command line property in the start command.
