I have a dynaTrace 6.0 client which launches the splash screen and then fails to start without displaying any error messages. It was working fine on Friday ?!? Webstart client does the same thing. Its a Windows 7 machine (which is due to the fact that when I rolled it out the script recorder was not support on Windows 8).
There is no diagnostic information in the windows event log and seemingly nothing in the client directory indicating what the the problem is. The client simply fails to start.
I have tried updating to latest version of Java, setting JRE_HOME environment variable, reinstalling the client software but no luck ??
I have never experienced this problem with the Dynatrace Client myself, but I have experienced it with the Dynatrace Webstart Client. For some reason it was pointing to the wrong version of Java. Therefore I performed the following actions:
The above steps worked for me. After that I uninstalled all Java versions and reinstalled the latest Java version on my pc.
