Dynatrace Plugin - Access Global Variable

We have developed a Plugin (APM 7) and we have two fields exposed as configuration parameters. When we assign the plugin to multiple incident rules, we end of entering these standard values every time. In case if we need to change those values, we will have to change it every where. We could save these values some where out side of Dynatrace and use Rest API to retrieve them. But it looks like it will be costly call every time plugin code gets invoked.

Is it possible to create a global variable some where in Dynatrace and access it in the Plugin code ?

I don't know such options. But when you configure those settings once globally in Server => Settings => Plugins, thank new usages of plugins should have those values. But as you said, after changing them you have to do it manually.

May be we can read from a file which can be placed in the server plugin folder
