Dynatrace XLarge Setup feasibility

Dear All,

Currently
we are running Dynatrace 6.0 setup on
Windows (Windows server 2008 R2) with xlarge setup and having following
configuration for Dynatrace server: (24GB RAM, 12 Core CPU @ 2.4 GHz, MAX
purepath node size up to 1000, average 300 node. Single Collector with 8GB RAM,
4 Core CPU @ 2.4 GHz.

We are
planning to upgrade the current setup with following configuration after doing
sizing calculation:

48 GB RAM, 24 Core CPU @ 2.6 GHz and 4TB storage, with separate 2 collectors
with 16 GB RAM, 8Core CPU @ 2.6 GHz

However, we would like to get suggestions whether this configuration is
feasible on Windows Server and proper functioning of Dynatrace in such a huge
setup OR should we need to opt for a UNIX based OS.

Please suggest.

Regards

Balaji

Hi

there is very little difference between windows and linux from a Dynatrace stand point. From past experience, I would say that Linux gives you a slightly higher throughput simply because the OS is more efficient.
