Our application has a few services which trigger health check and release.html APIs every few seconds per server. This creates a lot of noise in the purepaths list and purepath count reaches the default limit of 10000 with most of the purepaths being health checks and release.html.
I have tried to exclude the purepath by selecting the method of purepath, right click >> "Add sensor rules" >> "Exclude selected methods" >> "global exclude"
I have endured that the sensor is checked in Sensor Placement for a particular service. Performed successful Hot Sensor placement and even tried service restart.
I still see the purepaths for that service.
Hello @shruthiS B.
You have done the proper steps but you can also double check the excluded method in the System Profile > Sensors (if that is still active then you can make inactive/exclude from that location) for that particular method exclusion and secondly maybe the application/process will take the effect.
I had set the sensor to inactive in Sensor tab but had missed setting the sensor to inactive in Sensor configuration. The issue is resolved.
However, I am unable to exclude a particular purepath. The state of that that purepath shows "OK (The PurePath was created from a sub-path which could not be linked to any parent path)"
Is there any way to disable this. I am seeing this purepath for few services.
You can try to exclude it basing on the URI in Profile > Agent Group of your app > Sensor Configuration > Servlets Properties.
Or since Webserver in Profile > Agent Group of your webserver > Sensor Configuration > Web Server Properties.
