We have recently upgraded to v6.5. We're using the small deployment size for now.
We have about 30 agents which means that we need to change the size to medium especially that the frontend server is complaining about low memory.
But this requires:
- at least 8 CPUs (we have only 4)
- CPU clock speed 2.6GHz (we have only 2.2)
- Memory we have enough (24GB)
My question is,
Is there any risk to go to medium with the current resources?
When you get a Yellow Yield Sign with the exclamation mark, it is considered a warning. You can still select and use the setting, but of course it will be sub-optimal, and will not support the level of throughput it is designed to handle due to the CPU resource(s) that are lacking. However, you will be able to take advantage of more memory, so I believe it should perform better for you.
There will also be incidents that result from the lack of resources to remind you to upgrade when you have a chance. You can choose to ignore them, but keep in mind if you have poor performance that the sub-optimal configuration is likely part of the reason.
