GC Caused Suspension Time - ASP.NET

Where does Dynatrace get the "GC Caused Suspension Time" data from? I have looked in PerfMon and % Time in GC for the w3wp instances does not correlate.

Our agent runs as a native component in the CLR process. With that we actually get notifications when a GC is executed. As we also know which PurePaths are currently actively executing we know how long these requests get suspended because of the GC. This allows us to tell you the suspension time caused by GC. One of our Chief Software Architects wrote a blog about this. even though this is about the Java Agent most of it also holds true for .NET: http://apmblog.dynatrace.com/2014/01/15/pros-and-cons-of-using-java-vs-native-agent-for-application-performance-management/

Thanks Andi, that is exactly what I needed to know.
