Graph Baseline

Hello,

As far as I know the only way to visualize the baseline is by accessing to the Monitor > Application > Transaction(from BT) and then use the reported chart with the baseline to generate a new dashboard (that can't be modified).

Is there another way to visualize the baseline? (for example from a chart with the right measures, select somewhere to show also its baseline- similar to showing the thresholds)

If there is no other option, how are you charting the improvements/degradation of an application response times in one month?
My only idea for this is to create a dual axis with the same metric and an offset of one month. But would like to know also your opinions.

Regards

To my knowledge, you are correct. I do not believe there is another way to visualize the baseline using AppMon.

You could use a dual axis chart, I've done that myself before.

Another option is to make side by side charts with different time frames each (you could compare three or more weeks or Mondays or months this way).

If you just wanted a solid number for a baseline, you could use the Text and Measure dashlette like I did in the below image.

Hello Rodrigo,

Trevor had some great suggestions. Another thing you could look into, since it sounds like you already have BTs created is using the Business Transaction Hotspots. It has built in functionality to allow you to display multiple timeframes within the same dashlet. The disadvantage is that it only displays table values rather than a chart.

Thanks,
