Help using the Extended Mail Action Plugin with dynamic measure thresholds

I need some help figuring out how to configure the dynamic thresholds file to use it with the Extended Mail Action Plugin. Basically, I have a BT that gets response time, failures, and count and then splits by a regex on the URI to extract the name of certain API endpoints.

I'm interested in configuring thresholds via the file for each of the splittings (API endpoints).
My understanding is that the AppMon incident thresholds is kept very low (so that the incident always fires), however the Extended Mail Action only sends the email notification based on the thresholds in the file.

An example of the incident is...

BT name: AA Mobile API Calls Phase I

Measure: PurePath Response Time

Splitting: GetGroupsQR

Based on this, I configured the thresholds.xml as such:

<threshold name="GetGroupsQR" metricname="AA Mobile API Calls Phase I - PurePath Response Time">



However, this doesn't seem to work. And emails are fired based on the AppMon incident threshold, not the ones in the file.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Would love to see an answer to this...not sure how the extended email plugin will work in this situation since the incident will only be created / closed when the main threshold is broken, and it is only at that point that evaluation of dynamic measures will take place, AFAIK.
