How can I monitored /etc directory in AppMon?

/etc directory seems to be not monitored by default. Therefore I then configured as this:

but seems to be not working either.

Any idea how can I monitor the /etc ?

Hello Wai,

Change the priority because a disk, mount point or NIC is first matched against inclusions. If it matches, it is not excluded. If it does not match, it is matched against exclusions. If it matches, it is excluded. All outstanding non-matches are included.

Hi Babar,

I couldn't find any way to change the order of the rules.

Anyway, this is how I configured it, I still couldn't see where I could've miss it.

Hm.....wondering if you can point me out where did I go wrong, or give me any suggestion.

Best Regards,

Wai Keat

Hello Wai,

Specify the Operating System in your configuration and then try.

Hi Wai,

If you are not able to see any directory in the Infrastructure monitoring of the Host then it means it's not mounted. Only mount points are getting monitored by the dynatrace appmon.

Login to the server and execute a command $ df -k to see the mount point /etc is listed, if not get it mounted which will resolve your issue.
