How can I prevent multiple failed transactions occuring close together from triggering an Incident?

So we're having trouble with users using their own automated systems to interact with ours, and sometimes these outside systems screw up and trigger bursts of failed transactions within a period of 10ms, which unnecessarily triggers our alerts.

How can I prevent rapid bursts like this from triggering my incidents? For example, having a failed transaction trigger would disable the measure for 100ms or something like that, so automated systems can't cause alerts that are meant to pick up real user failed transactions.

Thanks!

Marc,

Look at the Incident Suppression setting.

Hi Marc, There are multiple strategies to prevent the too many alerts in close succession. (You have no control when error occurs!). You should use count threshold for failure measures, use smart alerting, increase evaluation time frame. See here on how to use Count threshold.
