How do I add a date-time stamp to a dashboard?

We're creating a dashboard containing a number of text+measure dashlets in order to produce a grid of data points.

We want the date-time stamp at the point the dashboard was rendered included as one of those data points.

How do I get hold of that?

Hi Mark,

The only way I can think of doing this is by using a Web Page Dashlet and using a Clock Widget as the URL. Here's an example:

Hope this helps,

Dan

Okay, thanks for that. Good tip about that Web Page dashlet. I can see us using those for other things too.

Thanks again,

Mark

Hi Mark!

Just wanted to share this: In the web dashboards, we have an "external content tile" where you can display custom HTML. This is possible since AppMon 6.3. Here's an example of including a JS snippet for displaying the date + time:

<code><pre><code>
<html>
<body>
<script language="JavaScript">
var thisDate = new Date();
document.write("<p>");
document.write(thisDate.toUTCString());
document.write("</p>");
// thisDate.toDateString() --> Thu Mar 17 2016
// thisDate.toISOString() --> 2016-03-17T13:12:18.519Z
// thisDate.toGMTString() --> Thu, 17 Mar 2016 13:12:18 GMT
// thisDate.toUTCString() --> Thu, 17 Mar 2016 13:12:18 GMT
// thisDate.toTimeString() --> 09:12:18 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight
</script>
</body>
</html>
</code></pre>

Here's how it looks like:
