How dynatrace identifies newly added methods in dynatrace Appmon

Hi

If any new method is added in backend table how it reflects in Dynatrace methods dashboard or it is recognized by Dynatrace?

For example, there is method for "Order creation" and it has been set as a conversion goal. If I have created the new method for Order creation or changed the name of the existing method, how it is identified by Dynatrace? Also, if new method is created or name changed will it automatically reflect in method dashlet or do we need to add manually.

Thanks&Regards

Siva

Hello @Siva P.

Auto Sensors (aka extended PurePath information) automatically retrieve information (transactional snapshots) provided by PurePath technology without explicitly instrumenting methods. It includes class and method names, parameter and return types, access modifiers, and call hierarchy information. Auto Sensors complement AppMon out-of-the-box Sensors which explicitly instrument methods to capture context information for web requests, database statements or exceptions, and other information.

If you change or rename or added a new method which different than the existing method selected for the 'Conversion Goal' then you will have to manually modify/change/create a new conversion goal on top of new/renamed method.

New/renamed method will be automatically reflect in the PurePaths tree after on the start/restart the process.

Babar
