How to Tag Visits with a URL part?

Hi folks,

Customer need to tag visits but they do not user any parameters, atributes or headers on the Application.

They indeed have a get request with the user as follows:

"/xpto/api/store/newDealer/<USER>"

How could AppMon split the url to get the user on the url? Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lucas,

You should be able to create a measure 'Web Requests - URI Pattern Value' then in the match criteria, set 'contains' /xpto/api/store/newDealer. Then use a transformation Regex to only pick out the user part of the URL, I made an example below, but you may want to experiment with different Regex's.

Hope this helps!

Hi Lucas M.! I think there may be a way to achieve this.

Under the "User Experience" settings in the Edit menu of your System Profile, there should be a section titled "Visit tag". I believe you need to make a "Web Request - URI Pattern Value" measurement that uses RegEx to capture that <USER> part of the URI path.

I haven't tested this to be certain, but in theory I believe it should work.

Let me know if you have questions and let us all know how it turns out!

Kind regards,

Joshua P.
