Hi,

You have two options. Either use the web interface for dashboards, which you can find on

https://[servername]:9911/ or use the web start client which is the full client which you can get to using this URL (the http port is one lower): https://[servername]:8021

Thank you Michael.

If we all use website instead of the client, how much traffic will consume?I am afraid it may impact our firewall by heavy traffic.

Hello Xiaohe,

Network bandwidth is difficult to estimate because it heavily depends on the type of instrumentation. For example, large attachments such as stack traces collected with exceptions or SQL statements cause much more traffic than simple PurePath nodes.

Also, consider that for your configuration:

  • The network between the Agent and Collector needs low latency.
  • The network between the Server and Collector needs high bandwidth.

Regards,

Babar

I think the question was more about bandwidth usage of the Web-based Dashboards, not the agents/collector/server side...

Hello @Dominik S.

You are absolutely right that the question was about the web dashboard but there is no specific information is documented for the bandwidth usage except the general idea between the components which I wanted to share with @xiaohe c. as a general understanding 🙂

Therefore, I gave him comments instead of an answer. Thank you for your observation and correction.

Regards,

Babar
