Increase in collector size

Hi,

we are getting severe alerts for low collector disk space. Our collectors are distributed in 2 servers and are having load balancing.when we checked file size of collectors in server1 it was normal but for the size of collectors in server2 is increasing.

we observed lot of agentrecord .xml and tmpdirxx are created and occupying disk space.

/dynatrace-6.2/collector/instances/xxxxxxx/temp/managed.

e.g:

tmpdir422

agentrecord.agent.xml5842.tmp

Is anyone faced the same issue. If so can you help in resolving.

Thanks,

Hi Tarun,

Please open a support ticket so the support engineer can take a look as there could be some reasons for the collector disk space to increase exponentially. Either like your case or ClassCache Explosion, etc.

Best,

Son P.

Hello Tarun,

Let me share with you a personal experience that we had face almost the similar situation in the past.

I discussed in the community without reaching on any conclusion and one day due to a maintenance or scheduled windows update we restarted the collector server and problem gone.

As @Son P. already advised to open the support case but if you get a chance to restart the collector server once and check the status.

You will not loose anything because of load balancing.

Babar
