Is it possible to configure Appmon on java batch processing by adding a -agentlib... on command?

Hello,

I have a batch processing witch use JAVA6.

We want to have informations about purepath.

We actually have configured Appmon from JVM but now we want to supervise this processing batch alone.

Is it possible to do that ?

If yes, is it the same process (add a -agentlib... )?

Thank you

It's -agentpath, but yes. What you will need is the concept of an "entry point" method, then configure a sensor to instrument this method, place it on your configured Agent Group, and set the Sensor Configuration for that sensor group to "Active and Start PurePaths"

There should be enough documentation here to fill in the blanks, but if you have specific hurdles while you're going through the motions, please comment back here with questions 🙂

Thanks,

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

I will try to implement it and come back to you if it's necessary :).

Hello,

I've a problem with my Appmon to detect PID of my batch.

In effet, i've implemented to my batch the :

-agentpath:/prod/appli_is/dynatrace-6.5/agent/lib64/libdtagent.so=name=APPLICATION,server=SERVER.fr.intra.net:9998"

On Unix Machine : I've installed too compatible library : JAVA 6 on AIX 7

On Appmon : i've selected in Application Tiers "JAVA", remote machine AIX 5.6/6.1 P64

I need to be sure that AIX 7 is supported by AppMon 6.5 beacause Appmon propose only "AIX 5.6/6.1"

I don't have any other idea to resolve my issue.

Thank you
