as per subject, I am interested in F5 plugin that can retrieve performance metrics from the F5 over REST API.
An example of AppDynamics implementation:

Here is a similar question which might be helpful: https://answers.dynatrace.com/questions/170812/f5...
And here is a REST Monitor Plugin, you can do a request to the F5 REST API and extract the interesting measures from your HTTP response: https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display...
@Alex: Long time no hear from you 🙂
To answer your question - I've made such plugin to monitor BIG-IP. In my case, I'm using native F5 interface, the way F5 admin console does.
It' faster, more stable, less complex than REST.
IMO - better data quality, when compared to AppD, i.e. I'm reporting per individual F5 CPU...

A while ago I looked at the REST option, like AppD, but decided to try the SNMP option instead in order to leverage the already existing SNMP plugin. I found it works to turn a MIB into a metric group, but only for the "static" values (not tables). I then looked into using SNMPWalk to get all exposed numeric metrics and found it was hard to turn the numeric OIDs into text OIDs. Then other work took over and I left it all behind. Also, I believe @Asad A. was looking into creating a REST-based version of the plugin fairly recently.
The F5 platform extension for Dynatrace is currently in early access.
Here is the link to the Platform Extensions homepage:
And fact sheet:
Hello - I'm a little confused about this, the document states "Dynatrace Extensions are ready-made, easy to deploy, and fully supported components" - but where do we obtain the F5 or Datapower extensions?
I suggest you to send through a contact request https://www.dynatrace.com/contact/ and select "I want to be contacted by services". Ask to be placed into the Early Access Program (EAP) for Dynatrace Extension Services.
We recently released support for f5 load balancers:
