We are in the process of trying to integrate LoadRunner test
analysis with Dynatrace using the Tagged Web Requests. The process works but still
provides quite a bit of manual work to pull up the necessary reports for
someone who isn’t very familiar with Dynatrace.
My question is if there is a way to utilize the REST
interface to send a report on a preconfigured dashboard where there were basic Dashlets(DB,
Errors, etc) that were filtered on the tagged requests of a specific load test?
The Load Test Overview dashboard doesn’t filter these Dashlets by default and
are not satisfactory for reporting purposes.
There is an Analyze Load Test dashboard in the start center under Analyze Performance which only requires you to put what session to use. If you could create a few REST Calls to automate sessions this would probably be the easiest way to analyze your results.
This is the Load Test dashboard I am referring to, it may filter the dashlets to all purepaths of the session that is set, but doesn't exclude to a specific load test or set of tagged requests.
Ahh I see, I assume that an application filter wouldn't be sufficient for your purposes? If not I would try using the default Tagged Dashlet and use the show in other dashboard to filter to just that test.I know that isn't automated but hopefully it can give you an idea.
Have you seen this reference? Essentially, you could save a dashboard with the views you like and then copy the base URL for that dashboard from the :8021 "Open in Client" link. Then, follow this process:
This will trigger the local AM client to open that dashboard and apply the filter.
Hope this helps!
