Log File Monitor

Confused on what to input in the "Directory" field in the plug-in. For UNIX servers it works fine. FOr Windows servers, what should I input in this field? In my case, I have the file "Error.log" in C:\test of a Windows server. When I gave C:/test as directory, it's not getting me anywhere.

2017-09-25 08:47:20 FINE [com.logfile.WP@New Log File Scraper_0] method variable = LOCAL 2017-09-25 08:47:20 INFO [com.logfile.WP@New Log File Scraper_0] Connecting to C:\test/Error* on mdc1sit-eam003... 2017-09-25 08:47:20 INFO [com.logfile.WP@New Log File Scraper_0] Seeking file by Regex: \\mdc1sit-eam003C:\test Error*

"test " is a shared directory, and can be reached from the collector over network path \\mdc1sit-eam003\test

We are running the plug-in from a Linux collector. Is that supported ? ie Connecting a Windows server from a Linux collector ?

Hi Rejith,

if you haven't done yet, I recommend you use the comment function on the respective website of the plugin:

https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/...

(see on the bottom)

Thus the author of the plugin can give feedback directly. Keep in mind community plugins give valuable add on features to AppMon, however, they are not officially supported.

Best regards
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Actually, they closed comments on the plugin pages. Questions regarding plugins should now be asked on the dedicated AppMon & UEM Plugins forum:

https://answers.dynatrace.com/spaces/485/view.html

Thanks,
