Login dialog cannot be typed in to enter password in desktop client.
The timing of this coincides with the latest High Sierra updates. Happening to multiple mac users with different java versions installed. Hard to tell exactly where the issue is since the client cannot be accessed at all and just hangs on startup.

I'd check the client logs that should be in your installation, if there's nothing there that stands out consider a support ticket. I know Mac OS upgrades often have security changes that can prevent the client from starting in the past.
JRE rollback option... Via terminal go to…
/Applications/dynatrace client 6.3.app/Contents/MacOS
The symlink to the jre can be updated to any installed JDK you have on your system. By default, it uses the latest MacOS java version based on the applet plugin...
jre -> /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/
But, you can replace it by updating the symlink, for example:
ln -sfn /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_151.jdk/Contents/Home/ jre
DT will then work again.
