Mapping collector log file location - Linux

Hey,

We renamed the default "dynaTrace Collector" to "x-dtcollector" and would like to have the logs files mapped to a new folder with the new name. We were able map one of the files but not the "CollectorLauncher_xxx.x.log" file.

Does anyone know where the configurations for this particular log file can be found. We on version 6.3.

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

the launcher log directory can be changed by setting the parameter "-logdir" on startup. If you're using the init.d scripts that are shipped, add it to DT_OPTARGS= like this:

DT_OPTARGS=-logdir=/your/log/folder

If you start the binary directly, add it like this:

dtcollector -logdir=/your/log/folder

These startup options are described here:

https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/...

and you also get them when you type

dtcollector --help

Best regards,

Peter

Thanks for the response! I'll get back to you with the results :).
