Can you attach a PurePath or a screenshot of a PurePath that shows your current calls to executeQuery. Would be interesting to see which executeQuery is executed right now

Hi Oscar,

Please note that only methods defined in the JDBC API are instrumented

https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/sql...

MariaDB specific methods that take MariaDB objects like instances of org.mariadb.jdbc.internal.common.query.Query are not instrumented and will not be part of a PurePath.

how can we instrument it then? it is not so difficult ... but due to lack of information i can only instrument the call and see in properties, but not in the database dashlet ... so how to do it?

Hi Oscar,

The DB dashlet displays only standard JDBC API calls. So capturing of MariaDB specific calls is limited to custom sensors with capturing the argument.

Harry

the sql argument can be captured inside the query object ... i dont know how to "instrument" this ......

Hi Oscar,

Capture the argument for executeQuery() and define an accessor . The API suggests getQuery() would do the trick

http://grepcode.com/file/repo1.maven.org/maven2/or...

Harry

the problem is not the sensor i know how to get the query, the problem is how to add the query to database dashlet

Hi Oscar

I have a YouTube Tutorial on Advanced Sensor Configuration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRtG7Js2cY4&index=...

There i cover "Deep Object Access" as Harald explained. I hope this helps

Andi

the problem is not the sensor i know how to get the query, the problem is how to add the query to database dashlet

Hi Oscar,

This cannot be customized. Please create an RFE for special MariaDB support

Best

Harry

it is not for special mariadb support ... it is information for doing it myself. The sensor packs are blackboxes and it should be more info about them
