In AppMon there are 3 different types of memory dumps which you can take.
Simple: Light weight. Also known as "Trending Snapshots".
Extended: Also called "Total". Same thing. Also called "Leak Analysis Snapshots" in the documentation.
Selective: Captures memory allocation events only for heap objects specified by memory capture rules.
I am facing issue with Memory Dump Post process. Its giving "Not Enough Memory space"
Looking that this, it seems its asking for 1TB of space which is very unrealistic. Now when i asked Support, they said that either you need to increase the space to 1TB or change the memory dump to selective.
Also as per checking the Selective memory, doesn't give all information as compare to Total Memory. Even in total Memory we can select Memory trending but for Incident how will it work.
we have allocated 42G heap memory, having 500 GB of disk space. This is the first time i am seeing this issue.
Support also said "When Analysis Server performs analysis, it extract data to tmp file system.
If raw memdump file size and volume of object captured in memdump is huge, it requires quite amount of disk space while post-processing analysis."
I have installed Memory Analysis in new Host now, having the same configuration as previous Host, so why its not working for this as well. Its completely new having almost 500 GB of space in that drive. How to remove raw memdump file? Also when checking Temp folder in Memory Analysis server, its empty.
What happens if i remove files from DTserver/server/tmp folder?
